OUR PASTOR

Pastor Sharonette Smart hails from Savannah, Georgia. She is the proud mother of four beautiful daughters, and two handsome grandsons. She accepted her call to preach the gospel, and on November 15, 1998, she preached her initial sermon at St. Paul CME Church, under the leadership of the late great, Dr. Henry R. Delaney.

Pastor Smart said, “God told her, she was called to the office of an Evangelist, her gift was Prophecy, and her Ministry was Exhortation.” She has truly lived up to her calling, through her various platforms in ministry, in which she exhorts the believer and non-believer, compelling all to repent, confess, accept, and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It would be easier to list what Pastor Smart doesn’t do, than to list all the many gifts, talents, licenses, business professions, and assignments she’s been called to. Her most treasured call, after that of Daughter of the Most High God, is that of Servant Leader. Serving others is her passion.

In November 2023, Pastor Smart hosted her first prayer retreat, “The Secret Place Prayer Retreat The Birthing” (The Foundational 15) was birthed out of this retreat, and so was the call to Pastor. The Prayer Retreat, and the The Dwelling Church Of God were both founded based on Psalm 91. In January, 2024, Pastor Smart filled, formed and launched The Dwelling Church Of God Online ministry, which currently has 40 plus, Kingdom, and Dual Affiliate Kingdom Citizens attending our Wednesday Midweek Worship Encounter on 1ST, 3RD, and 5TH Wednesday Nights, and Bible Study Encounter on 2ND & 4TH Wednesday Nights. The expansion of the church to in-person worship is expected to take place in the Summer of 2024.
